BHCR Hq has been engineering hydrocarbon refrigerants in Delaware and Panamá since 2009. Eco Kold is the line we ship today: drop-in replacements for the synthetic gases responsible for an estimated 7.8% of global greenhouse-gas emissions. Same compressors, same evaporators, dramatically lower energy and emissions.
The premise was simple: cut the bill, not the cooling.
BHCR Hq was founded in 2009 on a single question: can a natural hydrocarbon blend match the pressure curve and oil compatibility of a synthetic refrigerant so closely that a retrofit becomes a recharge?
For the next decade we engineered, tested, and shipped through Panamanian and Caribbean installations. By 2020 we'd refined the line into five blends covering R-22, R-410A, R-404, and R-134 / R-134A, the legacy refrigerants on roughly every cooling system in the field.

The Eco Kold line is engineered for the systems most of the world is already running on. HCR 4040 covers low-temp refrigeration and cold storage. HCR 4141 covers R-410A air conditioning (the largest install base). HCR 4242 covers legacy R-22 systems and five related gases. HCR 4343 and HCR 4343A cover chillers, cold-chain, and EV thermal: R-134 and R-134A respectively.
Every blend has a GWP of <1, zero ODP, and 65% less charge weight than the synthetic refrigerant it replaces. Every install is documented by certified hydrocarbon-refrigerant technicians. Energy-savings numbers are field-measured, with an independent audit in progress.
